- There are 24 nationalities in my class. 15 students are from Arab countries. How many students are from Non-Arab countries? Hint: the answer is on the pie chart.
- 4 students in my class have 2 nationalities. I wrote 24 marks on the table. How many students are in my class? How many students have 1 nationality?

Class Survey
I made a table with countries. Then I went to school and asked my classmates "where are you from?" I marked the answers on the table. Lots of the students in my class are from the Philippines(5). There are fewer Emiratis(4) than Filipinos in my class. Can you answer these questions?

Poetry Book Review
The Dragon’s Are Singing Tonight
By Jack Prelutsky
In this book there are many poems. Some of the poems are scary and some are not scary. Do you want to hear one? This is one of the poems. This poem is not scary. The name of the poem is “I’m An Amiable Dragon.”
I like this book because it is scary, and it teaches me some more words. For example, I learned that tremble means to shake with fear. I trembled when my dad read “I Am Boom!”

I’m an amiable dragon,
And I have no wish to scare,
Do not tremble at my presence,
Do ignore my lethal stare,
Do not fret about the fire
I unleash into the air,
You are free to pass unchallenged—
But only if you dare!

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is when friends and family come together to eat dinner. Me and my family celebrate Thanksgiving by inviting our friends over. Yesterday, my friend Lewis and his parents came over to eat. We ate a lot of food. I ate turkey, ham, corn, and a biscuit with cranberry sauce. I liked the corn the best. After we ate, we played. Then, we ate dessert. We had three pies: cherry, sweet potato, and lemon. My favorite was the cherry pie. We had a good Thanksgiving.
I'm thankful for many things: the Eid holiday because I have no school for two weeks, my Gamecube, my computer, baseball, and rugby.

The Olympic Games
I read about the Olympic Games in my school book. The Olympic Games are when all the countries come together to play sports. The Olympics come every four years. This year, 2008, the Olympics were in Beijing. In 2010 the Winter Olympics are going to be in Vancouver. In the 2008 Olympics Michael Phelps won 8 gold medals in swimming and broke Mark Spitz’s record. The USA had the most medals and China had the most gold medals. I like the Olympics because I like sports.

Obama vs. McCain
Yes, Obama won the election! Obama is not the president yet, but he only needs to wait for 2 months. Then after 2 months, he can make new laws. I think if I were president, I would help the environment. He is the 44th president and the first African-American president. I wish him luck.

My 8th Birthday
We celebrated my birthday at Action Zone, an arcade. We rode awesome rides like bumper cars and jumping star. We played games like musical chairs. I won 4 prizes. I got about 20 presents and 1 is a model plane. About 30 people came to the party, including my ex-girlfriend and my 2 best friends, Lewis and Thomas. We had a great time!
Please watch the video.

This salon is in Al-Ain. We go to two salons. One is Filipino and one is Pakistani. We go to the Pakistani salon when only my dad comes, but when my mom comes we go to the Filipino salon.

Paw Paw Pete
Paw Paw Pete died one month ago. Paw Paw Pete was my step-grandfather. He was a baseball player when he was young. He was an All-American at Tulane in 1953. He was also a riverboat pilot. We liked to go to a restaurant called T LeBlanc with him. We liked to talk about baseball and fishing. I am sad because he died, but he is playing baseball still in heaven.

We went to Washington D.C. in summer. In Washington D.C., we went to lots of museums and learned about history. We went to Arlington Cemetery and saw thousands of graves. Most of the graves are for soldiers.
